20061029 - Whatever with Murphy's Law!
This is from a poster my roommate bought for our room..its the Laws to be followed by sociopathic compulsive obsessive individuals, otherwise known as the American college students.
- If anything can go wrong..Fix it!! (Screw Murphy's Law!)
- When given a choice - Take both!
- Multiple projects lead to multiple successes.
- Start at the top then work your way up.
- Do it by the book...but be the author!
- When forced to compromise, ask for more!
- If you can't beat them, join them. Then beat them.
- If it's worth doing, it's got to be done right now.
- If you can't win, change the rules.
- If you can't change the rules, ignore them.
- Perfection is not optional.
- When faced without a challenge, make one.
- "No" simply means begin again at one level higher.
- Don't walk when you can run.
- Bureaucracy is a challenge to be conquered with a righteous attitude, a tolerance for stupidity...and a bulldozer if necessary.
- When in doubt : THINK!
- Patience is a virtue, but persistence to the point of success is a blessing.
- The squeaky wheel gets replaced.
- The faster you move, the slower time passes, the longer you live.
I like the #7, #16 & #19. Hoho, quite funny! Think the drama from the previous night has died down abit, probably after some rational thinking, everyone realized that it's not worth arguing over people's actions when they were drunk OR they haven't got about to talking to each other about it in case it blows up in their faces..literally.
Aiyah, too lazy to be bothered bout that. I just needa get some sleep right now. Oh yes, right now, i'm 1 hour closer to return to Singapore! Daylight Savings is in effect and time's been pushed back an hour! So...it's gonna get more confusing figuring out the time in Singapore :P That also means one more hour of sleep before 8am Accounting tomorrow. The clocks on my blog already reflect the time change!
Time to catch some shut eye.
