Speaking of something that's not easy...I don't like preparing for speeches!!! They're such a pain in the butt. I can deal with giving speeches, but preparing for them is like having a horseshoe up your a-hole and have that connected to your pee hole with barb wire and walkin 100miles in that get-up. Argh, it's so annoying!! Have to research, research, research for sources, sources, sources. Prrftt. Torture.
Speaking of torture, telecomm class is such a torture. Torture on my eyelids! Since Day 1, I've had sooo much trouble staying awake during telecomm lectures. Alwaysss a struggle. In psychology, we learn about sleep. Yup, sleep. And there's this sleep pattern/disease called Narcolepsy.
Narcolepsy is defined as suddent attacks of EXTREME drowsiness and possibly (almost always) sleep. A person hit by narcolepsy finds it almost impossible not to sleep. So i tend to get hit by narcolepsy alot during telecomm lectures. Just close my eyes for awhile...and next thing i know, professor dismisses the lecture hall. Wow.
But something kept me awake today, for at least 10minutes. Since it's Halloween today, people are dressing up. So this guy, dressed up as Waldo and sat in class. Yannoe? Waldo? Dude with red and white striped shirt in the book called 'Where's Waldo', where you gotta find him in different pictures? Hmm..ok this is Waldo. >>

So anyways, everyone just thought he's just trying to be funny. That's what i thought, until this guy who came in with waldo sat next to me and had a camera on. So i figured, somethin funny's gonna happen. woohoo. but after awhile, i forgot bout it la. 10min into class, 2 guys dressed super weird just stormed in through the front door and shocked the juices outta everyone! Then they started staring at the class, like they were looking for someone. After a few seconds, one of them shouted (yeah man, i mean SHOUTED..he practically screamed) 'THERE YOU ARE WALDO!!!' and the 2 guys gave chase while Waldo bolted outta his seat. And the guy next to me was filming as all this happened. heh, class was shocked for awhile before laughing abit.
Speaking of laughing...i just farted...................okay no link! Brain's not functioning, so i'm gonna sleep. Goodnight my friends.
Wooo i found a replacement for Diet Coke! Never liked Diet Coke but since i got here, i've been having too much Regular Coke (more calories!) so i thought i should change over to Diet Coke. But it's not the same...

Aiyah, too lazy to be bothered bout that. I just needa get some sleep right now. Oh yes, right now, i'm 1 hour closer to return to Singapore! Daylight Savings is in effect and time's been pushed back an hour! So...it's gonna get more confusing figuring out the time in Singapore :P That also means one more hour of sleep before 8am Accounting tomorrow. The clocks on my blog already reflect the time change!
I see a mini-war/conflict/battle/skirmish between the 2 wings of my dorm floor. You see, the floor is divided into 2 wings. The other wing's probably got more jack*sses and ***holes than ourside when they're sober. Picture them drunk.
That's what happened last night man. The other half got too drunk for their own good so they started playing pranks on our side of the dorm and kept pounding on all the doors while the people inside were asleep. Plus they had their evil-genius-conquer-the-world prank to place a trash bin full of water, tip it against a door and start pounding on the door til the person inside opens it.
Soooooo happens that my room is the one nearest to where both wings intersect. So yeah, we were the ones that got hit by the prank! Wah..somemore my roommate had some friends stay over the weekend and they took the floor. So when we heard the poundin we opened the door and VOOOOSHHH water rushed in and wet them, our carpet, their bags. You should have seen my roommate man, like some chained cheetah which got let loose by it's favourite prey. He just took of and ran after the first guy he saw. So yeah, there was this confrontation...words exchanged, abit of shoving here and there, no punches were exchanged though (almost did happen). Pawel (the roommate) was so pissed off that he was shaking man. hoho.
But they still didn't stop la. So throughout the night they were pounding on doors on our side of the dorm. And nobody could be bothered to argue with incompetent drunks. So...not much sleep for the rest of the night! All this happened at...4? yeah. so that sucked real hard. only had bout 3 hours of good poundingdoor-less sleep.
So when we woke up, there was a mini huddle between the guys on our side of the dorm and we found out everyone got disturbed by the boys from the other side. Wooo! I smell trouble.....
And all this happened while our Resident Assitant (RA) was outta town. He's the big boss of the floor la, but he's also a student. So yeah...wonder if anyone will report whatever happened.
Anyways, yesterday was a good day! But no time to blog bout it now. Watched my first football game. Good stuff! Oh yeah and thanks to a certain Ms Lee, i'm officially addicted to online sudoku @ www.sudokucombat.com tsktsk. But its fun, so i'm not complaning! Go try it out!
Was talking to Janice online today. Where the conversation was brought from whether or not can check SAT scores online if you didn't register for it online, to the current situation she and some other people i know are in....the A LEVELS! Woohooo!
The joy of A levels...seems so familiar to me. Oh wait, i just got done with it a year ago. Fwah, it's already been a year! So this is kinda going out to my tennis friends who will be taking their first (of many) papers in a week or less!
So, A levels is just another sidewalk to walk on along the streets you may call 'Life'. Right now, this sidewalk's gonna meet a road, and you either cross it or run away. Cross it, and you'll be on track for whatever you wanna do. Run away, and you realize you'll still have to cross that road if you wanna get to your goals. If you think it's hard for you now, ask the people who went through the A's. Most of them would have similar feelings like "Oh i felt lethargic/weak/distracted the week before A's and i just felt very unprepared". Just don't let that feeling break your spirit and ask yourself, how many people are NOT prepared for A's? Nobody would dare to NOT be prepared for their A's. So it's not a matter of whether you're prepared or not.
Unless of course, they've got another route already planned and decided upon. But just know that you guys are prepared and the lethargy/distractedness is more often than not due to the worry of A's being so near and has NOTHING to do with being unprepared. If you're a normal, sane person..you'd be thinking this : "Wah crap, we just finished our tennis season awhile ago and now it's A's already..jialat". But that's reality..time flies and doesn't wait for your teensy a**es to catch up. Just turn the 'time-flying' thing to your advantage --- In no time, A's will be over and you'll have half a year of time to kill and rot away.
But for now - The time has come for you to cross that road.
But if you still find it hard to push yourself over this final hurdle..just think of this la:
Use the knowledge that you can see me after the A's as Motivation! :)

Anyways, if you want my personal experience....i just plowed through my A's and Cambridge didn't even know what hit them. So they thought 'Wah this guy is newsworthy' so they gave me BBC lor...just like the British Broadcast Company. Ha ha ha ha ha. Funny right....?

But i wonder why i never got into the Pokemon craze. But i guess i was into the ProYo, BumbleBee, Digimon, trading of Premier League Stickers, NeoPets (for awhile only!!!) and who can forget the pioneer product of all things kiddy..TAMAGUCHI! So yeah, all that kinda makes up for not playin Pokemon!
Wah to think i got so into the digimon craze that we would cheat (yannoe? using the plastic strip and stick it in and out of the digimon) and hope to get the good characters like Teddymon! And no one wants to get Numemon..cos he shoots poop. And digimon battles would threaten to boil over into fistfights if people lose. Hohoho. Wooo! Bring back the old days where we could wear our shorts as high as we can (and show off our legs), girls can wear longer than long skirts, wear bowl-shaped haircuts and wear socks as high as we want without a care in the world.
But that'd be running away from reality. And we've gotta take it head on! Even though having a flaming tail and ability to breathe fire like Charmander would be totallyawesomecoolcrazysexyfunkymondosuperduperwicked!

Got this video off georgie's livejournal. Cute stuff! Nice video, nice song. Nicest part is when the old lady gives him a hug and his life gets 'colour'. See what a hug can do? There are times when all you need is a hug to feel important, to feel less lonely. But sometimes it's comforting to know that when you're feeling lonely, you're not alone. And i'm hoping that all i need is one hug, just one.
Okay..away from things going through my head. Hmm what happened today. Not much, except that i had alot of difficulty waking up. Nice and cool weather! But woke up with a very sore throat! I think it's me overdoing on the doritos and chocolates. Owell. What else is there to do while watching Prison Break or One Tree Hill on my computer?!?!?!?!?!!

By the way, Prison Break's gotta be one of the most interesting/intelligent series i watched in awhile! But actually, i've only watched idiot-proof shows like OC, Smallville, One Tree Hill, Desperate Housewives, Lost...etc. The most intelligent show i've watch so far is probably CSI. So i get approval to watch it cos it's 'mentally stimulating'. Right? :D
Ahhhh! I just caught a throbbin' headache! I think i know why this headache came.
First, I had to wake up at 7 plus in the morning. Today's the first day of my new accounting class and it's scheduled for 8am every Monday & Wednesday allll the way til December. Boyyy was it hard waking up! Was very disoriented/blur/sleepy/half dreaming half awake when my alarm rang. I could not recognize it as my alarm but i just heard something ringing, took awhile for me to realize it was my phone alarm! So yeah, i picked the phone up and just stared it the time for a few seconds and was soooooooo dazed. I had no idea it was already morning because the sun was not even out..everything was pitch black...the room was nice and cool..bed was comfy and all...perfect conditions for falling back asleep!! But i dragged my butt outta bed, didn't shower, just brushed my teeth.
So..this week's a cold week. Grabbed my beanie, hoodie, socksie, shoes-ie, baggie, stationerie, phone-ie, iPod-ie and headed for class! Had 3 consecutive classes so i braced myself for a long long day. Halfway through my third class (psychology) a lightbulb went off in my head!
*Ah hah! I have a webpage due on Friday which i haven't started on!*
^^ that was what popped into my head during psychology. Plus i had a psych test on Friday as well! So i needed to get the webpage outta the way ASAP! Started working on the webpage the moment i got back and woooo..never looked back. Think i spent a good solid 7 hours in front of the comp messing with the webpage (not including a hour break for class and a 1.5hour break for dinner). While messing with the webpage, i thought 'Hey since i'm doing so much html stuff, might as well tweak my blog!'
So i tweaked and voila! my new template. The other one (the Tur Kua one) was kinda amusing for awhile la, but it got boring. Hahaha! I blame it on a Moment of Madness when i chose that template.
Okay so my brain is really forcing itself outta my skull now...so i think i'd better get going. Hit the sack..again! By the way, see the quote of the template? Came across it a few days back and it's really stuck in my head. Hohoo, good quote! Think bout it...Anyways, some comic relief coming right up! LONG DAY and i'm too darn tired but i'll try bloggin bout it. But i had fun raking leaves with the family i go for bible studies with. So yeah, day started off fine. Woke up at 10 to do my laundry and *phew*, there were machines available! Cos over the weekends, thats when all the lazy bums try to get their laundry outta the way, so it's kinda like a mad rush for the washers on weekends.
But yeah i got mine out of the way early in the day (it rhymes!). So had lunch with a dormmate and headed off to rake leaves. WOO boy did i rake alot of leaves. But nothing really exciting bout raking leaves...just that you don't normally get that many leaves on the floor in Singapore.
So had dinner after that...had a very nice dinner...and here i am! Oh wait, between dinner and now i managed to start watching the first season of Prison Break. Got the whole first season on my computer and apparently, Singapore's only up to episode 5 of the first season.

Gotta go grocery shopping and pay my phone bill tomorrow! After my psychology class. TELECOMM DISCUSSION GOT CANCELLED FOR TOMORROW! I'm so relieved cos that's probably the most boring-est of all boring classes i ever taken in my life. WORSE THAN CHINESE!!
It rained/drizzled throughout the night but i slept through it mainly because the weather made it so much so that it would be a crime if anyone stayed awake. Past few nights have been good sleep-wise, all thanks to the weather which makes the room feel like it's air-conditioned as long as the window is up!
Had trouble, no wait...alot of difficulty hauling my non-existent ass out of my bed this morning. Had to somehow drag myself from the bed to the toilet to brush my teeth and splash now-turning-icy-cold tapwater onto my face. YUP! If you're fast enough, you would have realized that i did not take a shower. Classes are early, don't wanna wake up 15 more minutes earlier just to shower. I'd rather wait an hour for class to be done AND THEN take a shower :D
I see this no-shower mornings increasing exponentially over the next few weeks. Guess why? For the 2nd half of this semester, my accounting class starts. Bed news are: It's at 8am on Monday and Wednesdays + it's accounting + it lasts 8 weeks. Good news: I get to wake up when the sun's still down + i get to see the sunrise through my half shut eyes on those mornings + i get to walk halfway across campus in the cold morning. Go figure if that's really good news!
Maybe i should start loading up on chewing gum. Those that have the words 'Gives the feeling of brushed teeth!' splattered across the packaging. That would transpire into 5 minutes of sleep more every morning! Won't have to get my teeth brushed! Ahhhhh...i can imagine my mom flipping out and risking a heart attack if she happened to read that. Hi mom!
So after i finished my 930am class i headed back to my room to start on my presentation due tomorrow and also try to continue studying for my telecomm midterm paper (which i think went better than expected..considering i was kinda freaking out because i didn't really get much into my brain). So yeah..pretty much drained outta brain juice and eye juice. My eyes are dry! I think i need sleep. Check this out..

I was in my room at around 1 when it rained for abit. Oh wow. Yeah, that came and went, the rain that is. Flash rain, just about 10min worth of rain. And after that, no rain but the sun was still covered with clouds (normal looking clouds, no dark clouds). So i stayed in my room til bout 330pm before i had to leave for Business Presentations class. And wooo, the sky looked nice, not threatening to rain. Here is where i made 4 mistakes.
1) Class today was just gonna be a few people presenting some speeches, so i thought to myself 'Hey, i don't need to bring books today!'
2) Since the only thing i was gonna bring with me would be myself and my hoodie, i thought to myself 'Hey, even better! I don't have to bring a bag!'
3) This mistake's been goin' on for quite awhile. You see, my converse sneakers has holes in the sole, where the heel is, on both sides. And i should be getting a new pair of shoes, but ahhh..it's just one small hole! So yeah, you'll see in awhile why this was a mistake.
4) Well...i'll touch on #4 in abit..
So i go off for class, plow my way through boring speeches and get out early (cos the speeches went perfectly timing-wise)...good thing? Ehhhhh...kinda good thing...UNTIL I STEP OUT OF THE BUSINESS SCHOOL. It was raining again.
But i had to go back to my dorm! Didn't wanna wait for the rain to stop. So i made my 4thmistake...i decided to grit my teeth and walk back to my dorm with just my hoodie.
You see........in case you're slower than i expect....
No bag = no umbrella Sweatshirt with a hood = Not waterproof Shoes with holes = Wet socks Walking in rain = GET WET!
Talk about raindrops fallin' on my head man. I mean, i've walked in rain a tonne of times before. But that was either in Singapore or tropical places, where yannoe...the rain is kinda warm. Ahhhh but not here...here it's cold you see? So yeah...i got drenched. The hoodie helped abit, kept 90% of the water from seeping through to my shirt. But my jeans were waterlogged, shoes and socks were waterlogged.
I COULD NOT FEEL MY FACE AND THIGHS! Yeah cos on top of the cold rain, the wind was being nasty. So yeah, had to grit my teeth for a 15min walk to my dorm. Yannoe how you hear people catchin pneumonia while stayin out in the rain and you think, how can that happen? Well, that's cos you're in Singapore. The rain isn't that cold, teensy cold but not numbing cold :)
Alright time to take a nice hot (and i mean HOT) shower.

Somethin really retarded just happened and i think i should blog bout it and show people how retarded i can get.
So..i was sitting at my computer and i suddenly got up and walked around them room, searchin high and low for my glasses. Looked under the sheets, on my desk, under my desk, behind my monitor, on the shelves, in the fridge...yes, in the fridge. I went to the toilet, looked in the cubicle i showered in, looked on Pawel's bed but i still couldn't find it..so i thought = AHH! ONLY ONE PLACE YET TO LOOK!
And the place i had yet to look in was my dorm room opposite mine, cos we were hanging out in there for abit. Yeah, so i knock on the door and ask Neil where my specs were. And he just gave a smile and said 'Wayniq, it's on your face'.
-.- yeah so my glasses were on my face all along ha ha ha. That merits me running head-first straight into a brick, steel re-enforced wall.

So yes, sunday's here. Sunday has always been the day i swore off studying. Thinking that, ahhh everything can wait til Monday. Ohh but wait, that's what I tell myself on Saturdays. See what i mean? The weekends are meant to be set aside for everything other than studying! Weekends are here to let you relax, catch up on sleep, forget about school for awhile and for me to catch up with people back home.
Ahhh but when Sunday evening comes, you got his heart-sinking feeling. When you think 'Tomorrow's Monday' and your heart skips a beat and then takes a plunge and wallow in the bottomless pool of self pity. You feel pity for yourself cos you're throwing chill-time aside to wake up at 8am for the next 5 days. AHH! How fun...weekdays. Prrfft. Wish i could stuff a tampon up Weekday's poophole and stop Weekend-moodiness from flowing out anymore!
Ohh yesterday was quite a good day for IU (Indiana University for those people who still don't know which school i'm at). Cos our football team (American football for those who don't know that 'football' here doesn't mean 'soccer') won yesterday! That's quite a big thing cos even though our football team has pretty strong support, well...the team pretty much sucks. They couldn't BUY A WIN EVEN IF THEY WANTED TO!
But lo and behold! We've won 2 matches on the trot! Last week's win was over University of Illinois, which isn't a very good team. But yesterday's win was big..over the University of Iowa. Was quite an upset cos they are the no.13 ranked team in the conference..and well, we're pretty much cellar dwellers for football. So let's see if this lucky streak of wins continues! Check this space same time next week.
On the other handd..the basketball team here's supposed to be pretty good. Conference and national champion standard kind. But the basketball season hasn't started so..we'll see!
I bet my Business Presentations teacher's gonna talk bout the match for at least 10min during class tomorrow. She's quite a big football fan.
Owells. See, i'm back at my computer even though i just went down to print notes to study for Tuesday's test. Ahhh! Sunday's always gonna be the day i tried studying. Ahh, saturday. Here it comes again! End of another week! But i don't want next week to comeee. Midterms left right centre! cannot dodge! Had to wake up early early today, 8am, for a stinking math midterm on a Saturday! ON A SATURDAY. Wait..if you didn't manage to read the amount of frustration there...TEST ON A SATURDAY. Which crazy school has tests on saturdays? Owell, at least it went alright. So i'm crossing my fingers and hope for the best.
Anyhows, yesterday was probably the first day i really really had fun. PURE UNADULTERATED JOY! Heh, visited a farm la. A REAL farm. Like, cows barns & tractors kinda farm. So yeah, i'm glad i ditched my date with my textbooks and followed some singaporeans up to Peden Farm. Really nice couple who opened the farm up to us, and many thanks to Weiyi who helped make it possible cos he knew the family and for preparing the food for us. Anyways, since i don't have a digicam, pamela got most of the pics in her camera and we'll wait for her to finish her tests on Sunday before she uploads them. Yeah, you heard/read me right, SHE HAS TESTS ON SUNDAY!
Yeah, the farm trip reminded me alot of smallville. 350 acres of land managed by the couple and a kid they get to help around. But the difference is, in smallville, the kid that helps around? well, he's Superman! I think i got some pics in my phone and i'll just put them up anyways. But its just a few of the nice land and some cute rabbits.
Anyways, the farm had cattle! and the few of us fed them corn cobs and they took it from our hands! They had very very long and slimy/slobbery tongues mind you. They were hugeee..i do not want to get trampled by cows. Somethin eugene and pamela were quite close to being victim to, after they wandered off into fields, when the sun was setting, to snap some pictures of the sunset. To get to the cows, we had to ride on some kinda extension to a truck. And our seats were boxed-shape hay. By the end of the feeding period, most of the hay was covered cow slobber so we had to flip them over before we could sit on them. I tihnk there were at least 25 cows surrounding the 8 of us. And definitely more of them somewhere else. At first, only a few brave cows came to get their corn..but after awhile, the rest warmed up to us and started zoning in for their corn. Had to leave after awhile before they started climbing all over us lookin for more corn cobs! Even then, the cows followed us alllll the way til the gates of the fence which kept them in.
First thing that greeted us was a hugeee dog. By huge, i mean H U G E. Accordin to the owner, it weighed 160 pounds! For us singaporeans, that's 72.5kg. IS THAT HUGE?! and he's only 4 years old. Prrfftt. Then there was this other small collie mixbreed i'm guessing, who wanted to play 'fetch' the whole time we were there. We chased geese, visited the barn which housed super cute rabbits and had those haystacks i was talkin bout earlier on the second floor (not really haystacks, but they were hay compressed into the shape of a box). Visited a lake within the farm @#&^!*@# and had a bbq eaten indoors cos it was cold outside. Had some good food and came back to the dorm happy and tireed, but knowing that i had to study for my math paper.
So guess what?! I did one sample paper and decided to take the night off. Hohoo.
Anyways was talkin to my JC classmate Andrew this morning and he helped me send my regards back to teachers in SA cos he went back to SA for the openhouse (which i heard from him...sucked HAHA sorry andrew). So being a nice guy, i'll mention him! Ohhh yeah and he sent me this video which was quite funny la.

Okay they're good. WOO! Cold cold cold day. Actually, temperature wise..it was okay to deal with. But the wind killed me. Had my hands stuffed in my hoodie's pocket and had my hood up and all, but that didn't cover my lips! which were coldddd i tell you. And when i took out my card so i could swipe it to open the door to my dorm, my hands started to freeze.
But i'd rather the cold than hot actually. Hot just makes you feel uncomfortable! Sweat and all. Woooo hope it's cold in Singapore when i get back..as if. Argh.
Anyhows, had to go for a psychology experiment today. And i forgot bout it til my cellphone reminded me 5 min before the thing started. Phone was supposed to remind me 30min before the experiment but i didn't realize cos the phone was on silent. So had to rush for the experiment. And i made it! Was some experiment where i had to categorize patterns. simple stuff la, but i needed to get that experiment outta way. You see, for my course, i have to take part in 4 experiments in the semester if not i wouldn't get my grade! ARGH. You won't know the meaning of feeling like a guinea pig until you sign the form before you start the experiment. The words in that 'contract' make you feel like some unworthy subject signing your life away. But at the end of it, it read 'As an added incentive, a $5 bonus will be given to you if you score well'. Somethin along those lines la.

Hoho, how nice it'd be if i had my own radio station and i'll dish out songs in my playlist! Woots! But then again, some people (like my roommate) probably won't like it. Heh, since i got the speakers and my computer, i've had this thing goin on every mornin...I'll have to play somethin on my computer and the song'll just set the tone for the rest of the day. Oh anyhows, helped Pamela and Shuzhen move into their apartment today. They moved outta their dorms. Which is a good thing and bad thing i think. Cos since they got their own place, yeah more privacy..but they'd have to keep their place clean!! hoho and it's slightttly further away from school, though their place is still on campus. Which means.....it's gonna snow! but there won't be an accumulation of snow on the ground cos the snowfall will be light and also cos the ground temperature would melt whatever snow touches it. HOW COOL! let's see if it happens la..cos yannoe how weather forecasts are like.
Prrfftt. Probably gonna be getting myself a new webcam later on if i got the time/mood/energy to take a bus down to BestBuy. YAWNS! don't think i'll have though.

Woooo hot hot day! I'm perspiring like nuts while typing this post!!!! Ahhhh but fear not...cos come thursday, its gonna get cold..real cold! Like subzero temperature cold. According to the weather widget i have on my desktop, it's gonna hit a very very very very high maximum of 7 degrees celsius (please not the sarcasm) and a low of -2 degrees celsius. AHHH! That means thursday night's gonna be my first subzero experience. Prrfftt.
Oh and it's gettin prettier around campus. In terms of the trees la. Just gotta stick my head away from the computer and look out of the window and i'll see many many different coloured trees. Some are red, some are yellow, others still green. Everything's definitely changing.
Sometime this or next week we'll be heading outdoors armed with digital cameras (and i'll be armed with my secret weapon : the motorola razr v3i cameraphone) and snapsnap pictures of the nice trees and nice fallen leaves. And i tihnk i should be posting the pictures up. AHHHH but i don't blame you if you think "yeah right, as if you'll post the pictures". .........................

Emo mopey weekend which i hope would turn out to be okay eventually. Ahh! So in order to let emo-ness break out of my body (which put on 5 pounds in 1.5-2weeks), i downloaded all 3 seasons of One Tree Hill. Stupid tear jerking show, make my eyes wet.

heyy i'm back bloggin after hmm, a month from the previous post.
For all those wondering why i've been M.I.A, yeah it's cos my laptop screwed up on me. Don't wanna get into details of the whole laptop saga, but yeah, as any American would say..my laptop was broken.
Aiyah, okay...the backlight for the LCD screen popped. No more. So i could only see a black screen unless i shine a light on the laptop screen.
CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW FRUSTRATING THAT IS?!?! The only thing worse that could happen was if i was gonna be handicapped without a computer for a long period of time..argh, anyone ever heard of Murphy's Law?
Yup, "whatever can go wrong, will go wrong".
So yes, i got handicapped for 2-3 weeks with a malfunctioning annoying laptop. But alas, decided to get a desktop instead and send this laptop back to Singapore to be fixed. WHY? Because apparently it doesn't have an international warranty after i checked with HP, even though the shop where i bought the laptop from (in Sim Lim) said it was covered with an international warranty for 1 year !*^%#$^(@#$)(@#$&*^!@#
So yeah, went down to BestBuy, something like a electronics shopping centre, and wanted to get myself a desktop! Found a nice CPU with good specifications, found a SWEET 19" Samsung LCD screen and speakers (plus an awesome subwoofer). So yeah, got pretty excited. BUT the problem was, they had no stock. GRR and i had to order them, so it'll take about a week to come. So okay lor, nevermind just wait.
And then, yeah..Murphy's Law and 'The only thing worse....' rule kicked in...AGAIN.
One week later i went to the shop to collect the desktop (everything..screen CPU speakers all!). The best, the 19" screen i ordered didn't come it cos of some reason NOBODY knew. Yeah, so i had to downgrade to a 17" screen (though i'm not complainin now).
Hmm..talk about being in crappy situations huh? The only thing worse...would be if i were to fall sick and not be able to enjoy my desktop to the full.
Well, guess what?! I FELL SICK! Imagine this, cough + sore throat + flu + dry hands + a sore neck + weather that changes from 6deg to 28 deg in 2 days. Eh i sound quite pathetic right? hahaha but aside from all that, i've been really comfortable here liao. Gettin into the groove of college life.
Oh yeah didn't really remember that jialing's over in London now. So jia, if you're reading this..hope you're settling in fine!! and you still owe me an email..i think. And everyone out there in Singapore, you're missed!! In a week's time, it would be the start of my 3rd month here. Quite fast hor?
