isn't that a bit of a dark & twisty way of trying to find out if someone loves you that much? hoho! speaking of suicides and funerals, really want the next 2 days to go past quick. and then, there'll be a exam-free week followed by spring break so sunny San Francisco. can hardly wait!
it's taken me a semester and a half to realize that good stuff that's sold in the c-store (campus/convenience store) where i can actually get food with my mealpoints. even though the stuff are pretty overpriced, it doesn't really matter because my scholarship's paying for my dorm fees + meal points. i'm talking pizza, hershey's chocolate syrup, ritz cheese bitz, doritos and all that good stuff.
but what's making me go back time and time again is the hershey's cookies&cream chocolate bar! i'm gonna OD on the bars soon man, if i don't control myself. i'm already munching on my 3rd one today.
alright, enough sidetracking. time to hit the greek books and get all these funny sounding names into my head. there are soooooo many names that it's come to the point where i start dishing out nicknames to them..like 'dirty old man', 'greedy bastard', 'gullible fool' etc.

you know how people usually wait for something for so long..and when they finally get it, it's not what they expected and they are left wanting more? that's a really baddd situation to be in. but how about when you wait for something so long..and when you finally get it, it blows you away and still leaves you wanting more? that's the best thing someone can have going on.
but darn it! time after time, all i can do is say thank you.
yikes! i can't nap in peace! ice is falling from the sky. plenty of them. and they're pelting against my window. annoying!!! here's how it looks like..there's the ice..there's a close up. it's building up and it's gonna cover my whole window soon! save meeee!
since all the snow's gone, it's a good time to look back on THE snow fight this winter. nothing minor bout this snow fight...heads rolled. This is what i recall happened..
THE STORY
what was once a green grassy field is now an undisturbed calm of snow (if you don't take into consideration david and his forlorn look, with 2 punks and a head in the background)....not for long anyways.
a perfect opportunity to make my first snow angel. forgive the grass patches. the snow was not as deep as we hoped. but it sufficed for the bloodbath that was to ensue....
david, with a few flicks and rolls of his hands, launches a fastball of snow across the field with poor wayniq as his target. what was a field....is now a BATTLEfield.
but wayniq, blessed and gifted with the reflexes of a tennis player, sees the fastball of snow coming in slow motion. with more time to think than he thought, wayniq knew he only had one option and one option only...'DODGE'.
know you see him, now you don't; wayniq dodged the incoming snowball with the speed of cigarette-deprived jiaxiang upon seeing a stick of nicotine/tar/tobacco. his movements so swift that the camera could not catch him in a picture despite 2 quick successive hammerings of the 'SNAP' button.
"haha", laughed wayniq as david realized he missed his target. Wasting no time, wayniq conjures up a snowball out of nowhere and launches a snowball and a prayer a good 30 meters across towards david - with his head as wayniq's target.
What was a surprise to everyone else, was not a surprise to wayniq - the snowball found it's target! Wayniq raised his arms aloft as he celebrated his accuracy and cunningness. However, in doing so...he let his guard down....
unawares to wayniq, david plowed into wayniq with the brunt of a professional football player as he took wayniq down with no apparent mercy.
"i got you you punkass no good piece of ****. IN YOUR FACE!!!" david cried as he shoved wayniq's face into the snow.
While this battle seemed to be over and done with, Shuzhen comes along and mocks both david and wayniq, laughing at their snow-covered jeans and childish behavior. However, because of all the head-jarring and snowfilled mouths, wayniq and david mistook Pamela for shuzhen and a new battle ensues. Once enemies, david and wayniq collude and hatch a devious plan to take pam down.
first, david scares pam with a snow ball. unbeknownst to pam, this snowball was just a diversion to get pam's attention away from the real danger....wayniq. out of the corner of her eye, pam catches some movement but is too slow to react to the impending bulldozer which was wayniq!
do not let the picture fool you. #1, wayniq's hand is not really on pam's butt. #2, pam does fall down..eventually. Elated that their elaborate plan bore it's fruits, wayniq and david shook hands and put the battles and plots behind them. As usual in all conflicts, Charles looks on and gives a chuckle as he managed to escape all the pain & snow. We'll get you next time Charles, mark our words!!
Kudos to cameralady denise boo! as you can see, she's totally sad from missing out on the snow fight. but do not fret, she got clobbered by a fair amount of snowballs after this picture was taken. pardon the toot face from me; it kinda got frozen in retard-mode.
i think everyone suffered afterward from the after effects of the snowfight. Snow in underwear, snow in shoes, snow in nose, snow in mouth, snow in ear, snow in the butt, snow in places the sun don't shine...you get my drift!
Oh well, i thought i'd post something more interesting since i have more time on a gloomy rainy saturday. so..here's a steal from beks!
for some reason, people are switchin over to livejournal. 4 ppl i know of so far! and it's probably of the privacy options. hmm. i'm not big on the privacy thing...but i wouldn't mind some privacy sometimes. then again, troublesome!! i'll sleep on it i guess.
on a very wet side note, everything's melting! gonna be messy for a few days but at least it's getting warmer! here comes the spring equinox!

they'll be playing at some music club in San Fran when we're over for spring break. hope i can get to go! won't mind goin alone even! we'll see who wants to accompany poor me! i really wouldn't think twice bout goin if the energy was like this...

pretty trees all around, but too bad man...didn't have a camera with me plus cameralady denise boo didn't have her camera charged. booooooooo for ms. Boo! ;p
classes before noon today were cancelled. effective for allll class in the university. takes something pretty big to make that happen man. IU doesn't normally close even in storms. apparently the last official closure went way back til the 1970s. that's last millenium! but of course, teachers being humans, are lazy as well and do cancel classes. but this is the first OFFICIAL closure in a long while. but yeah, here are some of the pics i took with my trusty phone. like DIAMONDS MAN! whooot whooot.
was talkin to a friend yesterday and was asking him what he thinks it would take to make the school close and he said; "607 inches of fricking snow!" that's kinda funny. o yea and in New York, they've got so much snow that there are walls of snow along the roads. cos yannoe, when it snows, they state whips out the snow plowers and they kinda shove the snow to the sides of the road. yeah, and it's been snowing quite a decent amount i'm guessing! found a pic, but dunno how recent this is!
anyway, crapload of work to get done by tomorrow. but i need some sleep! woke up early for nothing! had no idea classes were cancelled til i was about to head out of the dorms. argh.
it's official, indiana's been hit by a winter storm! and bloomington's not spared. hurhur, it's quite fun actually.
first it was rain. then it was sleet; rain which turns to ice cos it's too darn cold. so yeah, it pelts down on your face! but apparently we have it easy over in bloomington. it's supposed to be the size of pebbles in other areas. hah! imagine that. and after the sleet, it was rain again. but yeah, once the 'rain' passes, we're supposed to get proper snow. a few good inches of it!
just went out for dinner and it's already starting to snow. some say it'd hit 10 inches because that's what's happening to the other areas hit by the storm. cool! my first winter and i'm gonna be in the middle of a winter storm! dunno whether it's enough to be called a blizzard though. oh yeah, when it was raining, everything just started freezing real fast. like some scene outta 'Day After Tomorrow'.

plus the exisiting snow on the ground turned to slush when it started to rain. imagine slurpee poured all over the floor then you'll kinda get a rough idea of what it was like. and when they froze over, it was ICE. so yeah, potential back-breaking ice sheets!
yeah but went out with some guys in the dorm for dinner. brave journey k. don't mess with us. even though it was just next door...it was still a decent battle against the elements! all i need now is some cuddling! oh and pineapple tarts of course.
really lazy day today! so this is gonna be short. real short. got bored and decided to get a post out before i sleep. for no apparent reason!
anyways, got my geog test results out. guess the whole class did badly. and i got an 80%. but the cool thing is, everyone gets a chance to up their score by 15%, we just have to do our corrections and hand it in the next lecture. just like that! if i get my corrections right, i'll get 95%! double-quadruple whoop-a-dee-whoop man. hahaa.

2 tests on a sunday is no fun! it's ridiculous and should be illegal!
weekend was spent doin up some stuff to send to some people back home! and i think i did a good job ;p other than that, had a chillax-ing weekend. most of it was planned to be set aside for studying for today's 2 tests, but yeah...you know, things don't always go as planned!!
kelvin left for aust on saturday. someone's gonna try being a doctor! anyways, if you're reading this, hope you find your place & people soon and the next few months will fly by. til then, you don't really have much of a choice but to study hard and give nerdiness some essence of coool. and i'll welcome with you the rest of the gang come July! (while the gang welcomes me in May..heh).
and i just realized my weekend lasted for a day actually. oh well! oh yeah and momma! if you're reading this...remember my pineapple tarts! precious commodity k. don't wanna miss out on the chinese new year goodies do i? but this time around, i'm not gonna share my tarts with anyone!!!
you learn something new everytime you go for greek lessons (duh). but this new thing i learnt is really interesting/funny/ridiculous/hilarious/downright stupid. it's bout the marriage making sessions in Babylon of long ago. yes you read right, marriage sessions.
k so this is how it goes;
every once in awhile, all the women in Babylon who are of age (i'm guessing 18/21? the professor didn't get into specifics) gather in the town square or something. that includes the rich and the poor girls, because the cities back then were divided into the rich and poor. so yeah, other than the girls, allll the single men in the country will gather as well, and there'll be this auctioneer there. any wild guesses what happens?
yup! the people bid for the girls! and obviously, the pretty/hot ones get snapped up first. and usually it's the rich who get them, cos you gotta bid high to get what you want right? who doesn't want a hot/sexy wife if you have the means to get one? so that leaves us with the ugly girls...what happens?!??! well..instead of paying for the ugly girls, the auctioneer will OFFER the girls + money to the remaining single men! The aim of the game: whoever accepts the lowest price for the ugly girl can have the the girl as his wife!

it snowed today. snowed as in, wake up look outside and the ground's still normal. use the comp for awhile, look out and everywhere's white. kinda cool i must say. gimme a whoot whoot! whahaha.
just came back from snow fight session and my pants are frozen (in the process of thawing). i swear i was being aimed at, yeayea, go ahead bully the small kid. pui! anyways, will get the pics of the snowfight up when i get them. meanwhile, here's some i took with my handphone on the way to class.

anyways, greek was interesting as always. learnt bout the Spartans! and it's cool how new movies come out about all these stories during the classical period of the greeks/romans and all that. because it helps learning! it's a good study aid. hahahaha.
if you don't know, i'm referring to the movie '300'. bout the 300 Spartans who held off a million Persians. apparently, it actually happened (if you believe the records and poems bout them). dunno when the movie is coming out, but i hope its before the next exam. and we're gonna learn bout these events next class! about the 300 Spartans. anyways, if you wanna watch the trailer, here it is.
interesting stuff aye? think it's gonna be an awesome movie. owells, don't blame me but i rather these kinda movies than the modern ones. Troy, Lord of the Rings, Kingdom of Heaven, Alexander or Eragon anyone?

Indiana's gonna be painted blue for awhile. that's cos the Indianapolis Colts won the Superbowl last night! the first Superbowl i've watched that i actually understand and knew what was happening. i mean, i've watched Superbowls on tv before when i was in Singapore, but i was just watchin it cos i was bored and had no clue what was going on. watched it at david's place with david, denise, weihua and andrew. good 'nuff place to watch, good company, good snacks and a good tv!
yesterday, singapore drew 1-1 with thailand in the ASEAN championships - whatever they call it now la, i still refer it as the Tiger Cup. can't believe Singapore beat Thailand in SOCCER! i mean, i would probably side Singapore in everything other than sports. but my loyalties lie with Thailand when it comes to sports cos i know they've got some standard. Owells. aiyah, good things come around a few times...so let the singapore soccer team enjoy they fleeting moments of victory! bleh.

i've been corrected. apparently i made a mistake with regard to the temperature levels of a guy's privates. they're supposed to be colder than the rest of your body because the lil swimmers would run the risk of denaturing (since they're proteins) if their swimming pool overhheated.
so the swimming pool is always kept at a slightly cooler temperature. but i think the swimming pool temperature dropped abit because i was out in very very cold atmosphere.
ok got that settled. if you have no idea what i'm talkin bout, refer to the previous post.
been a tough morning. first, woke up to cold cold snow. i'm not complaining though, walkin through snowfall (though not so much) was kinda fun. soft, powder-ish new white snow. but after the walk, had to go through 1h15min of ear torturing lecture. i thought listening to too many new songs would give me earbleeds (or that's what some people tell me), but i think listening to too many lectures like those would make my ears bleed for sure.
then i had a good long chat on my computer and got some issues laid out. better out than in i say. many things to do, but right now, i just wanna sleep. i woke up at 850! SO EARLY.
