- thought i'd share;
thought i'd share this thing that happened during my first geog class last week. if this were signs of things to come for the rest of the semester, i'm sure i'll enjoy being cracked up by the professor.
my geography course is something on physical systems of planets. so during the lab session last week, we were supposed to test and see if a set of infatable planet models are to scale (plastic planets which can be blown up, with air, and is supposed to be built to scale compared to the real planets - according to the makers).
so, the teacher decided to try and explain how we're supposed to go about doing this. so she used the planet model
uranus as her example. can you see where this is goin? :) if you do, continue reading anyways.
so she said: "alright, what you wanna do is to take the measuring tape over there, and go around the planet like this (pulls measuring tape around
uranus to measure the circumference). now, you'll know what the circumference of
uranus is. since circumference=2piR, you divide the circumference of uranus by 2pi and then, you'll have the radius of
uranus."
ISN'T THAT FREAKIN' HILARIOUS?!
if you don't get the joke............uhm....
seriously?
seriously?!
seriously. you have got to get a life if you don't understand that.
uranus = ur anus (your anus). GET IT?
ps: the inflatable planets were not made according to scale :)
