20070304 - time
why issit for certain things, time seems to drag and at other times, it flies.
like how time slows down when you're staring at a stopwatch, keeping time for an experiment.
like how time speeds up when you're waiting for an exam.
like how time slows down when you're nearing something you really want.
and like how time speeds up when you spend it with the people who matter the most. annoying!
but yeah, A's got released before the weekend. and it seems like a really long time ago when i collected my results. and the hours after result-release were filled with frantic phonecalls; first to family, then to friends, then to tutors. chirpy voices and downcast tones on the other side of the phoneline.
then you have time to reflect on your results and you kinda force yourself to be happy for your friends who did well but deep down, you just wanna reach across and beat the crap out of them for doin better than you. oh well! results aren't everything. and i haven't heard of anyone who lost friends over results. so for those who didn't do that well, it will get better.
but people lose friends over time & you either wish that they get sad and beat yourself over it or you just suck it up and say 'good riddance' (:
