20070412 - sleeping/silent partners
funniest thing happened in class today.
yannoe, in certain companies, there are people who give cash to the company but choose not to be named, they call em 'silent partners'. so, today in class, this indian dude was trying to ask a question bout these so-called 'silent partners'. the thing is...he couldn't remember the exact term 'silent partners' so he used the term 'sleeping partners' instead.
so he asked our teacher: "so are these people the company's sleeping partners?".
and our teacher answered: "(silent for a few seconds) oh sorry my mind was somewhere else when i heard that."
okayyy it may not sound so funny right now, but it did in class!
