20070408 - ups & downs

wow, alot has happened since i last blogged. really been a draining weekend but i rather not get into the details. i shouldn't anyway. so here's a recap (abitt like how beks recapped hers, only more exciting :P)

Friday: the Singapore Students Assocation (SSA) elections. at the start of the day, i decided to go listen to the speeches of the people running for posts in the committee. since i paid my dues, might as well check out what my money's gonna be going into next year (: so yeah, the posts of president, vice president, treasurer & secretary were dished out pretty quick without much hassle. aside from some over-exuberant speeches which i will not go into detail also, except that it kinda got on my nerves. anyways, the public relations (PR) & webmaster positions were still up for grabs. so now-happy me was looking forward to the whole thing ending soon because i kinda knew who would be running for the posts and that they would probably get them. oh and i caught TMNT at night! pretty good movie. cool animation, but i thought they were abit too skinny.

at the same time, there was a mouse running around the room. so i got coaxed into tryin to catch it! owells. but yeah, when i was happily trying to catch the mouse...some people just blabbered my name out for nomination for the PR post. so yeahhhh...i had to give a speech. didn't plan to run but since i got nominated i told myself 'ahh what the hell just go for it..'. but thought i'd spice things up abit and crack everyone up with my antics (: which i managed to do by the way. apparently everyone was laughing pretty hard. oh oh oh and on a sidenote, i did get the position. so now, i'm the PR of SSA. wow. not bad for a thai huh? ok...no link right there.

on a further sidenote, my comedy antics seemed to earn me the call-up of being narrator for a skit in Mr & Mrs Asia 2007. geee. we'll see how that goes!

Saturday: a day that i wished never happened. a day when i wish i wasn't there but at the same time, i'm really glad i was there. but i'm not gonna talk bout that. i'll blog bout somethin else....I FINALLY PLAYED TENNIS FOR AN HOUR! indoor court by the way...because it was in the negative degrees on saturday. didn't play that well, but managed to pick up some form toward the end. arms still feeling tight! usually it loosens after awhile, but i guess that's what you get from not playing for almost a year!!!!!! and yannoe what else you get after playing tennis for the first time in a long time? aching butt, aching hamstring, aching thighs, aching shoulders, aching forearms. yup! aching body. but yeah, i think i've found a decent tennis buddy in IU! thanks lawrence!

Sunday: relaxing day up. aside from a few issues, everything was enjoyable indeed! company was great, food was good, ice cream was good, tv/dvds were good. slept a pretty-darn lot today! maybe it's cos of physical&mental fatigue from saturday and friday. but yeah, nice way to recharge!

so that's that. and the weekend is gonna end in a few hours. eventful i must say. plus i was flipping through pictures on the computer and saw my superman curl! so here's my funny picture of the day;
